These host families have opened their homes to students throughout the years who want to study at Shelburne Regional High School and live in rural Nova Scotia. Since the onset of CoVID-19 in Nova Scotia, they have been doing many activities at home to keep their students busy, and up to date on their school work. During this stressful, rapidly evolving time, these host families are taking care of these students, comforting them, and ensuring their safety."

He has a young son at home and a daughter on the way. He even delivers on weekends, if a necessity is made. He works very hard to support his wife and young family"

Nominated by Jackie Race, "I would like to nominate Kasey Demings, last week he put on the local covid pandemic site that he had lobsters available for free for isolated seniors, it was amazing he waited at the wharf for pick up I was able to get two for my neighbor who was thrilled, I am not sure how many pounds he gave away but it was a very generous act"
