Press Release - Blood Collection Services NSHA

The following western zone blood collection sites are closed until further notice:

  • Our Health Centre, Chester
  • Caledonia Medical Centre, Caledonia
  • Lockeport Medical Center, Lockeport
  • Barrington Community Health Center, Barrington
  • Clare Medical Centre, Meteghan
  • Weymouth Medical Centre, Weymouth
  • Western Kings Memorial Health Centre, Berwick
  • Eastern Kings Memorial Health Centre, Wolfville

Many Nova Scotia Health Authority services are being reduced or suspended until further notice as part of the effort to contain the spread of COVID-19. This also allows us to conserve and redeploy our resources in anticipation of increasing demand related to the pandemic.

People requiring blood collection are invited to visit the nearest open site providing blood collection services during regular hours. For information on blood collection sites and times, visit NSHA’s website:
