Today, April 22, Nova Scotia is reporting two more deaths related to COVID-19, for a total of 12. The deaths were at the Northwood long-term care home in Halifax Regional Municipality.
Premier Stephen McNeil and Dr. Robert Strang, Nova Scotia's chief medical officer of health, will provide an update today at 3:30 pm. It will be livestreamed on https://novascotia.ca/stayinformed/webcast and available on nsgov Facebook and YouTube pages.
As of today, Nova Scotia has confirmed 772 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Thirty-five new cases were identified Tuesday, April 21. There were 10 licensed long-term care homes and unlicensed seniors’ facilities in Nova Scotia with cases of COVID-19, involving 148 residents and 65 staff.
The QEII lab completed 849 NS tests Tuesday and is operating 24-hours. Nova Scotia has conducted more COVID-19 tests per capita than any other province. NS has 22,993 negative test results, 772 positive and 12 deaths. Ten people are in hospital, three in ICU. 330 have now recovered from COVID-19. https://novascotia.ca/coronavirus/data .
