Premier McNeil and Dr. Strang will provide an update today at 3 p.m. about COVID-19 including information on 20 new cases.
As of today, April 2, Nova Scotia has 193 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Twenty new cases were identified Wednesday, April 1, and 900 COVID-19 tests were completed at the QEII Health Sciences Centre's microbiology lab.
While most cases in Nova Scotia are connected to travel or a known case, as reported previously, there is one confirmed case of community transmission and more cases are expected to present.
To date, Nova Scotia has 7,446 negative test results and 193 confirmed cases. Those cases range in age from under 10 to over 80. Five individuals are currently in hospital. Sixteen individuals have now recovered and their cases of COVID-19 are considered resolved. Cases have been identified in all parts of the province. A map and graphic presentation of the case data is now available at https://novascotia.ca/coronavirus/data
It is now more important than ever for Nova Scotians to strictly adhere to the #COVID19NS public health orders and directives. Learn more at www.novascotia.ca/coronavirus
