Municipal Offices will remain closed to the public until Monday, January 31, 2022.

Due to the continued raising cases of COVID-19, Municipal offices will be closed to the public until Monday January 31, 2022. During this office closure we will be supporting a work from home process and services to residents will continue to be provided as efficiently as possible. Questions and concerns related to taxes and other services such as recreation, building permits, waste diversion, public works, etc. can be addressed online, by phone or email. A complete staff contact list can be found here.  Public Works, building inspections and waste collection will continue to operate as usual, with limited contact to the public.

Operations at the Regional Material Recovery Facility will remain open to the public, as usual.  All staff and clients must adhere strictly to COVID-19 safety protocols.

We would like to remind residents that building permits can be accessed online and that we offer several alternative payment methods that allows you to pay your taxes, permit fees and tipping fees at your convenience.

  1. Online Banking - ✅have your Assessment Account Number or Customer ID ✅Payee Information attached
  2. Bank Payment in Person ✅check with your local branch hours
  3. Online Credit Card Payment at https://ipn.paymentus.com/rotp/dsmt or 1- 866-658-7582. Service fee charged by Paymentus is 1.75%.
  4. Cheque or Money Order (payable to the Municipality of Shelburne), mail to PO Box 280, Shelburne, NS, B0T 1W0 or dropped off in the drop box, located on the side door of the Administrative Building. Do not deposit cash in the mail or the drop box.
