Thursday Oct. 29th starting at 10amThis is an easy walking trail. Meet at the Tom Tigney Trailhead (intersection of Hwy 103 and the East Sable Road, in Sable River. Across from the now closed Chef's Plate Restaurant.)

At the beginning of the hike you'll enjoy a close-up view of the Tom Tigney River. Along the way we'll discover the Sable Trestle Bridge, moss covered banks, maple, oak, birch trees and local wildlife. Along the Sable Wetlands section of the Woodland Multiuse trail we might catch a glimpse of a muskrat, partridge, nest boxes, a wood duck house, deer and maybe even a beaver dam! On return to the Tom Tigney Trailhead those interested can join us for a 500m walk in the opposite direction by the Old Grist Mill and along the Tom Tigney River to a scenic bridge.

Nov. 7-Dec. 5, Ages 9+ (10am-11am) and Ages 4-8 (11am-Noon). Full hockey gear is required. Cost: $50/child (50% off for each additional child). Registration is now open. Stay Safe Course

Get out and explore the trails in Shelburne County this winter! Punch card stations have been set up on 8 different sections of trail in the Municipality of Shelburne and Municipality of Barrington. Each section of trail has 5-10 punches hidden along the route. Find all the punches on a trail section and punch your card. Submit your completed card the Recreation Department to be entered into the prize draws. For each trail you complete, you'll get one entry into the draw. Find the details for each section of trail below. For every section of trail you complete, you'll get one entry into the prize draws.Punch cards are available online to print and are are also located at the beginning of each trail section.

The Municipality of the District of Shelburne is exploring the possibility of expanding the use of the Jordan River Trail to include off highway vehicles. Adjacent landowners and users of the trail are encouraged to attend the scheduled public meeting to provide their comments, interests or concerns.The public meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 7:00pm in the commons area of the Shelburne Regional High School located at 415 Woodlawn Drive, Shelburne.
